Susan, thank you so much for that link. I've had a can of the air here and was going to clean my machines as soon as I finished my latest project. Those pictures are worth 1000 words of warning, thanks.

Thanks for the info..This is info that I have never received on either of my purchased machines (one is a computerized embroidery machine), from different dealers!! Have to admit, I DID use that can ONCE (and just recently), but NEVER again. This sight is so USEUL cuz everyone is willing to share knowledge. Had one gal in our old quilt club that would NEVER share a shortcut or a hint but sure did like hearing what others had to share. Different strokes for different folks, huh?

This just makes sense as others have mentioned. My service guy said to always use a vacuum to clean out the lint but it's ok to wipe it out between vacuuming with the lint brush provided. I also use pipe cleaners (folded in half using the folded soft end) to get the surface lint. First cleaning I had was almost 3 years after purchasing my machine and he was still surprised how clean it was inside.
