    This layout is better, but I'm kinda with the others who feel it looks like two different projects--a beautiful floral OBW and a cool cubes OBW. You said you don't want 2 quilts, though; how about a reversible, with the cubes on the back (although, IMO, the cubes deserve to star on their own right as a front).

    I love this! It makes me think of someone excavating a wall in an old building-and discovering something underneath the initial surface. A true art piece!

    I really like this layout. I might try moving some of the darker blocks from the lower left up by the blue cubes, although I don't know if it would be any better.

    I think the cubes make this quilt sparkle. I really like them!

    Better, but still doesn't work. Just my opinion. It is your quilt, remember.....so our opinions should not change your desire.
