You've given me the first spontaneous laugh I've had in a long time. Keep working on it, you've got to think it's as amusing as I do, even with all the aggravation it's causing. But judging by the time you posted, I'd say you're ready for some sleep by now.

I thought that was what happened with all quilts.

T-shirt quilts can give you lots of problems. It is why I stopped making them for clients.

Your pain, my laugh. Sorry. Go for the funeral.

I agree with the Viking funeral. (That's where you send it out to sea, then light it ablaze, right? If so, that definitely sounds like more fun that continuing to fight the t-shirts!)

I feel for you. I want nothing to do with t-shirt quilts. I had enough trouble trying to make a quilt out of a customer's old poly blend duvet cover. Her happy memories of her late husband turned out to be my nightmares of 8-hours of fabric prep per baby quilt. Wow! Live & learn. I will never ever agree to work with mystery fabric again.

I think the Viking funeral is a very good idea in this case!

Never thought of a Viking funeral for UFOs that are spoiled brats! That's an idea! Usually I try to pass the pieces and parts off to a friend who is into pain or I take it to the guild and put it on the give away table. But Viking funeral? Now, THAT has possibilities!!
