I strongly agree with this thought! Quilters are harder on themselves than anyone else. If it becomes a drudge, find something else to do. Life is TOO short!

Yes, yes I think we are all too hard on ourselves somtimes. Remember it shoulf be FUN!

I just had to comment on the galloping horse saying. My Mother used to say it to me when I was younger and would obsess over curtains not matching perfectly. That brought back a lot of good memories for me, Thanks

my best tip...

get some fun quilting friends.. They may not always know the answer to every question, but they are fun and keep my laughing! All the tips here are so good. See what I mean about quilting friends!

I have been teaching my granddaughters to quilt and they do not have a clue that they are learning fractions when they are measuring and cutting. I always make sure they use the automatic close rotary cutter. Love all of the tips.

I sew to relax so when it starts to stress me or not be relaxing I walk away and come back later. It saves me headaches.
