I have purchased two Brother machines at Costco, in store for my daughters. They are happy with them. They were on sale and I paid 139 for both. There is one on sale online right now for that price. If you order from them on line and you are not happy, you can take it back to the nearest Costco.

I also have had three Brothers machine and I love them. I wanted to upgrade so I sold my 8500 to my sister in law and it's still is going strong after 10 years. I now have the Quattro 6000D and love it. Wouldn't trade it. Haven't had any problem. Very easy to use also. Good luck!

I have a Janome Jem Gold, love it. I just saw a sale on one for $100 - can't beat that! I also used to have a White Crafter's Friend, great little machine, only weighed about 12 pounds. One sold recently at an auction for $15. Yep, used machine for $15. Wish I had seen it before the auction ended!!
