So I've only made a few quilts and of the ones I've made the piecing has been relatively simple. I decided to try my hand at a quilt from Judy Martin called Mariner's Star. I've just finished the center and I want to get some eyes on it of people who know what they are doing. I don't want to continue to far if it isn't right. I think it is but if you all could just let me know if there are any major issues which I need to fix (I know pictures aren't perfect) that would be great.
Thanks,
Yael

I've done New York Beauties, but I don't know if they are done the same way as yours. Your block is BEAUTIFUL!!! I think pride in workmanship shows through in your block!!! Very nice work!!

I have found that the star points were the hardest with making a curved seam. I redid the seam about 10 times and am still a little nervous that it isn't perfect. I'm kind of anal. Does anyone have suggestion how to perfect a round seam? I've looked on line and watched youtube videos but I still need to work on it. Also I tried to use elmer's glue but it still wasn't working out right.
As for how long it took me to make the first block it took me the weekend but I wasn't working on it constantly.
Yesterday I started on the next block and by the end I nailed the lining up of my seams. I was really excited!!!
Thank you everyone for your input.
