I dont have one close, but have ordered online. If something is out, try again a day or so later. They do re-stock. Coupon codes can be found online.
As far as the needles, there are many sites online that are comparable in pricing. I find great deals on Ebay, Etsy, ecrater, and try this: http://www.allbrands.com/products/abc0610.html
Only $.35 each, when you spend $35 for 100.
I am a big fan of Schmetz needles. They stay sharp longer, especially when I put them in the strawberry emery cushion.

Sorry you're losing JoAnn's. Someone posted about opening a larger store. They did that here also - moved to an area of high volume stores in a shopping area across from the race track. Hopefully they'll do that.

The Walmarts here that don't have fabric sell Schmetz needles so they can be ordered from the main warehouse to be stocked in any store. Also any June Tailor notions, rulers, and mats can be ordered. Walmart has a contract with June Tailor. There is a big order book the craft dept manager orders from the warehouse. Ask to see it. It's amazing what is available that the managers don't want to order or find space for. I told the manager here to get rid of the artificial flowers that everyone justs steps all over anyway and stock some decent notions. Several other customers all agreed with me! LOL She put in small thread rack, and notion wall that's not too bad. Walmart has the notions, it's up to the craft dept manager to order them.

Kokomo is actually the next closest store but it's an hour away. It's unlikely that another one will open here. The town is like a ghost town. The mall is nearly empty and there are more stores closed than not. There's a big money family here that can somehow prevent new stores from coming in (I think they are on the city council and have a lot of pull). I have no idea why they do it, at least for stores that would not compete with their own business. But several stores and factories have wanted to build or open here and they put a stop to it right away. It took the walmart more than 2 yrs of negotiations to finally be allowed to open the supercenter.
