I would go if I had the chance. Get a book on CD or just music and drive away.

The quilting issues are a no-brainer. The nights in a company paid hotel, eating out, stress free meals, that's called Keeping the Romance Alive in Your Marriage. Pack your prettiest nightie that you won't be sleeping in and GO. Remember when going to bed with him was the most exciting thing in the whole wide world? Rekindle, rekindle, rekindle.
Fake, Fake, Fake if you have to. He IS your MOST IMPORTANT PERSON and he has that laughable male ego. Go feed it!

It is a lovely trip from the Carolinas to Paducah. The roads are good, there are quilt shops along the way and if nothing else....you can spend hours in the Quilt Museum and not spend a dime. Go for it girl, it's the perfect time of the year.

I've driven almost that far about 5 different times this summer to take care of a sick daughter. This sounds like a lot more fun and I'm probably much older than you are!!

Go and then let us know what there is to do there. If you don't want to drive there alone, find a friend to go along with you. She could get her own room or stay a day or so and take a bus back home or whatever. Go for it. I sure would!! Never been and am dying to go!!

Well I'm gonna say go for it. I live about 40 minutes from Paducah. I love the quilt in a day shop, Hancocks, hobby lobby and quilters alley. You'll have plenty to keep you busy. Oh you'll get into quilting trouble and enjoy it while you do it! :-) :-)

GO! GO! GO! Just think of how lucky you are...having this opportunity when so many people never will. If you get yourself into trouble, tell yourself you are doing it for those of us living vicariously through your adventure. We will be waiting at home to hear about your experience. Have FUN!
