Paper Piecing Nightmare- any help?

I"m glad you figured it out. Paper piecing is hard for me to get into. Once I get going I'm okay but I feel like I have to think in reverse at first which makes it hard. I'm glad you got the block done.

I guess it’s true what they say about paper piecing. You either love it or you hate it. I’ve done a bunch, and always have trouble getting started. Once I get going, it’s okay, though. Love your block, the colors are so soothing. Good job. Keep at it, it does get easier.

I've done a lot of intricate paper piecing (as you can see in my avatar), I really like it especially for picture type blocks, or steep fussy points. I just tried freezer paper paper piecing and I loved it, don't think I will ever go back to regular fpp. I even ordered freezer paper for my printer to have on hand for when I print a pattern instead of drawing it.
