Just ran across an ad for paper quilting. Has anyone ever tried it? What in the world would you use it for. throw away place mats?

I've seen people do quilting type designs on greeting cards and scrapbook pages. Or maybe to decorate wooden frames or other wooden things like boxes, etc.

The quilt guild I belong to gives demonstrations of quilting to children at a local festival. We have them make paper quilt blocks. Lots of fun.

Are you sure it was paper quilting and not quilling? Quilling confused me when I first heard about it.

I have never tried paper quilting but am told that it is a great way to make perfect angles.
