I have these 7 fabrics that I would like to make a quilt out of. Any ideas?

What size are your cuts?

Peg, the fabrics look lovely, but I'm concerned you may not have enough contrast if you use them as shown. They sort of look like all the same tone - some a little brighter and some a little darker.

I would recommend making one or two sample squares and taping them on the wall, then step back to the other side of the room and look at them before you do too much cutting - with whatever pattern you choose.

Let us know the quantities of fabric and the size of the quilt you want to make so we can help you out.

At least 2 yards of each. At least a queen size.

Your fabrics are lovely. Have you looked at the block patterns available on "Quilters Cache"? You might find something there to inspire you. Be sure to keep us posted on your progress.

Your fabrics are beautiful and they will give you a very soft looking quilt because the colors don't have a lot of contrast. I personally like to make low contrast quilts sometimes - they are soothing. But you need to decide if you will like it for yours.

If so, make sure you share the final product!

Could they go together into an Irish chain? I've seen those with a white or cream background, and then shades of similar colors to make the chain. Love that look...

I think your colors are good for low contrast also. If you want more contrast add a light or white tone on tone color. Either way whatever you make will look great.

Oh, I think it would look great for the Lucky Stars by Atkinson. With or without an extra contrast fabric.
