I have a chance to get a Pfaff Quilt Expressions 4.0 very reasonably priced, but I have to decide right away. I have read some reviews, but they are all over the place.
I am hoping to get some input from those of you who have one. Pros, cons?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have had a Pfaff 2036 for four years. I love it, and imagine the 4.0 is even better. Pfaff makes a wonderful machine. By the hover foot, do you mean putting the foot half way down to do free motion quilting? If so, mine has it and it works great. Also I love the IDT, I don't need an extra walking foot. Good luck with your decision!

I purchased an Expressions 4.0. and so far It's the only machine I've been using for my piecing and quilting. I have only played with the quilting part using scraps of batting sandwiches and it does a beautiful job. Haven't done any free motion yet. still learning on it. It's a good choice. Have fun with it!

Thanks for all the good reviews. Makes me glad it bought it!!!!
I went back to ask a few more questions, tried out the fmq. It was really slick. It was the easy way to fmq that sold me. I'm not really good at it but this seemed to go so well. I really liked what I sewed. It has way more stitches than my 7530 which I really love.
He threw in a straight stitch plate, sitd foot and a whole bunch of coloured bobbins for nothing.
the dealer told me to play with it and when I was ready I could bring it back for a lesson.
I am happy tonight. I'm going to wait until tomorrow before I start to play cause I'm tired.

Oh, JanieW, I hope you'll let us know how it goes with your new machine. Is the throat area bigger on the 4.0? What fun you are going to have! You can pass on your advice to the rest of us...if we are thinking of upgrading!
