Pineapple log cabin
I have always for the longest time wanted to make a pineapple log cabin. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the cutting of the block. I just received the Rotary cutting revolution book by Anita Grossman Soloman. I bought the book because, I thought she had a nice easy way of doing this block. Her method did seem pretty easy, but it's not incorporating tons of different fabric for that scrappy look I want. She layers two fabric's and the pattern and you cut from that. She does explain incorporating a few other colors into the quilt, but still not that beautiful scrappy I love so much.
Has anyone used her method and figured out a way to make it scrappy, scrappy?

I don't know if it's the same method/pattern, but I've made 4 VERY EASY pineapple quilts, it's a piece of cake, look up "exploding pineapple" block, if you can't find it, PM me and I'll send you a pdf of how it's done.

There is a book and ruler just for scrappy Pineapple quilt blocks. Trash to Treasure by Gyleen X. Fitzgerald.
It's the best way I have used to make this block.
Here is a video describing her quilts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUdM5VUdYeQ
