One of my most favorite quilts I have made is the quilt in my Avitar. It is called "Twice as Nice" by Glad Creations, Inc.
I made it for DD#3 as her going away to college quilt. It is queen size and I also made 5 pillows of various sizes to go with it.
We worked together to pick out the fabrics and she picked out the pattern from my "stash"

I love the colors in it. It went together nicely but looks really complicated. I have had so many complements on that quilt.

I hope to make it again with a little more green in it, someday!

It would have to be the one I made for my SIL. It was also my #2 quilt I ever made.

When I was going through my divorce my ex wasn't paying any support even though it was court ordered. Christmas was just around the corner and I was lucky if we were going to have food on the table let alone gifts under the tree. I always sewed but never quilted. My DD loved nightgowns from the time she was 2. Since I don't like fake fibers I made all her nightgowns out of flannel. DD was 9 at the time so I had lots of flannel scraps for a top and yardage the were suppose to be for nightgowns to use as a backing. I can't remember what I used for batting I might have even had batting, but I sewed her a simple patch quilt and tied it. The quilt was her Christmas gift, she is now 24 I came across the quilt last week, she had packed it way a few years ago. I want to wash it and repair it if need be. I think she would really like to have it at this time in her life. This quilt symblolizes to me that even in the hardest of times a simple quilt made with love is all that is need to make it through another day. It was on that quilt that I hand embroidered a red heart with the year in the middle. Every quilt I have made for my children since that one all have a red heart.

This is my favorite quilt that I made. I had a ton of fun making it. I couldn't find a picture of it on my den wall but this will suffice I think.
It is called "Just John." You may have to squint a bit since it is like pointillism and this picture is a bit too close.

It would be quilt #2. I made it for my son about six years ago. He picked the pattern and fabric colors.
