I agree, a tan to match that inner border would be beautiful, especially if the thread was a bit heavier than usual.

I have found that a soft gold seems to play nicely with everything, much like the shade of tan on your inner border.

Probably any of the colors mentioned would work but I think I'm leaning towards the tan or soft gold. The quilt is beautiful and was just waiting for the right man to come along to love it. It will work out for all involved...you will see. Hugs.

Wonderful quilt. I, too, had a similar experience when I was young. Better to have your heart broken for a little while than to have your life ruined by someone with no conscience.

I was thinking maybe a dark blue variegated. BTW, it's a beautiful quilt. Sorry for your and daughter's heartbreak experience.

Beautiful quilt! I too am thankful your daughter found out about a hidden past before it was more traumatic! You may have to audition different colors to see what you like best.

I would choose a variegated thread, maybe a green/blue?

Glad you're daughter found out the truth before they got married - sorry she had to go through this. I would also lean toward navy blue thread.

Think I'd use a grey. love the colors. It will be loved by someone who deserves it. Was probably met to be for him
