Yesterday I ran into the grocery store to grab a few items, and saw a new quilting magazine on the rack. I picked it up, because it was all about scarppy quilts. I WAS going to buy it, but luckily, I looked at the price. $12.99! OUCH!
Sorry, I cant remember what magazine it was, but I just cant spend that much on a magazine!

There are so many "free" patterns on the internet-I don't think I'm going to renew my subscriptions either.

OUCH is right. I thought $6.99 was a bit high! If you could remember which one it was, you may be able to find it on the internet. Some magazines are now on the net enough to read some and see what's in it.

I found the $12.99 one, too....it was from Australia or Europe. At least, the one last month was!!! Even the ones from the USA are over $8.00!!! You can buy a yard of fabric for that!!! (well, almost)...

sometimes magazines put out a "special" edition which cost more. hopefully that was the reason for such a cost.

I do think it was a specialedition. If I see it again, I will loo closer. Think I had sticker shock!

I subscribe to two digital quilt magazines. Fons and Porter and Quilter's World. It's cheaper and no storage for me. I hope more quilt magazines will go digital and I think most will in the next year.

I wish I could! I am on dial up, it takes so long for a picture to even load! I love living way out in the country, but there are a few disadvantages, lol!

Many things for quilting are out pricing themselves not just magazines. We should all rebel and use our stashes.
