My rulers never leave my sewing room but I still misplace them. It will take me hours to find my 6 1/2"x6 1/2" ruler underneath a pile of fabric that got there not by my doing. I lose rulers all the time and then one day they are all sitting there. I know no one is playing with my mind because it happens when I'm home alone for 2 days. Those rulers are crazy things!!!

I was just wondering...could you scan a ruler and print several copies of it. Maybe you could print on cardstock and then laminate. I might have to try it myself. Isn't it amazing how we put our brains to work to help another quilter and in turn learn ways to help ourselves.

Great tips! I love this place. I have used the graph paper online before for when I am tutoring at the public library and need it for various assignments. Yes, at the library it may cost a dime but it is great when you are out. Thanks again every one for sharing. Teresa

I found a printable ruler at Spark people. It can be as long as you want or you can cut it short. I printed it up on card stock and on regular paper. I put it together and taped a long piece on the edge of my cutting table for measuring yardage. I sprayed it with clear paint to keep the ink from running. I do't have the link but I think you can search it on the site. I will have to try the other links.
