There was a major lack of communication here. She should have called you.

I would say tha quilter if off the list of quilter that I would use again. SO sorry that this has happend to you. It gave all use quilter a bad name.
This was the first time that I used this LA quilter. I really like her work and will probably give her anther chance. I will definetly make myself clearer the next time.
In my opinion she should have checked with you first. Even if it was her understanding that this is what you agreed to, double check before doing something that can't be reversed.
I would be livid.
Nothing about this transaction added up to "trim the quilt top to fit the sheet". Didn't she wonder why you brought two sheets?? |
oh my, you should have pieced the backing for the long arm quilter for sure. but she should have contacted you about the difference before she took it upon herself to alter your quilt.
Any reason why you had not sewn your sheets together to be in one piece before taking them to the quilter?
I didn't know to piece my backing ahead of time. I have only be quilting for about 6 months. :(

She said the top was too wide for the sheet. Duh - that is why I took to sheets!! Now the quilt isn't wide enough for my bed. I am really upset!
