i am marking a border on my current quilt and needing to erase some pencil marks....THIS WORKED GREAT!!!!
sorry if others have already mentioned this - i just found this out!!! |
Well... that is an interesting way to use them :D:D:D It didn't bleach out any of the surrounding fabric?
Becca what did you use to get it out...???????
i hand quilt and i always mark my quilts w/ just a #2 pencil...The lead markings actually eventually just wear off.
I got the idea from a quilt group that had the Mr Clean Magic Erasers sitting on the quilts - and i asked what they were for. The ladies told me they use them to erase pencil marks.... So - i had to try it tonite....W/ the quilt laying on a hard surface, you just rub the Magic Eraser over the markings and VOILA......pencil marks are gone!! I didn't even have to rub real hard! |
They are great to clean the sole of your iron too.
that's good to know erstan...i was ironing a dust ruffle that i was making and got mess on my fabric!!
Thanks for the tip! I will try it!
I LOVE my erasers!! So many uses for one little sponge!!
stupid question.....did you wet the eraser or just use it dry?
