I think I might do this too. Sounds like fun!

I was looking forward to participating in Bonny's Mystery that's beginning.....but our landlord sold the mobile that we live in and we have until Dec 31st to move. This came as a shock to us yesterday as we had no idea they were wanting to sell the mobile. So, now instead of sewing I'll be packing up everything to move as soon as we find a place to rent.

Love Bonnie's quilts and her mysteries. They are very well done - even a fairly new quilter can tackle them as they are given one step at a time withe great directions. In addition, there are lots of folks who will be doing it, so they are always there to help if you have a problem. There's a yahoo group (quiltvillechat) as well as facebook group. I'd love to have a group here, too.

I didn't do last years as I had too much going on, but am going to do this years. At 74" or so, it's a little smaller than the other quilts of Bonnie's that I've done, but still a nice size. Doing the steps as the mystery unfolds is fun, the groups encourage each other along.

I'm thinking I might do this. I have never done a mystery quilt before, I kind of like to know where I am heading, but I love Bonnie Hunter, so I think I will give it a try. It will help the winter pass.:o

I think I will give this a try. I need a skill building challenge.

My biggest problem with quilting is picking out the fabrics. I agonize over it for days on end before I finally come up with what "I think" I want, and that still doesn't mean I will be happy with it. Sometimes I am and sometimes I am not. I have only done one Mystery Quilt, and picking fabric out for that was even worse, cause I had no idea where the different colors were going to go. Other than that, it was fun, and the quilt turned out really nice.

I'm in. And since I have a lot of reds and blues to use up, I think I'll just go with Bonnie's colors.

Absolutely! Thanks for the link. Bonnie Hunter was a speaker/teacher for our guild a couple of years ago. She's fun and has terrific ideas! Can't wait for Nov 18. (The quilt I started for her class a few years ago is still one of my UFO's. Looks like I'll be adding another one.)

I am IN, haven't settled on my 'colors' (yet) I need a Fall quilt for the bed so I may lean towards the orange, brown and greens but I also love RW&B with some Yellow. I may suprise myself and do Two.
