I'm going to try this on my quilt for class. I've been practicing many "beginner" designs and this is the only one i can really seem to make look like it's intended to be on the quilt. Does anyone only use this? If I am never able to do any other types of quilting designs would stippling be ok?

Stippling is good:) You will branch out over time. Just keep practicing and practicing:)

everything i do , gets stippled, some day i will branch out.

me too, I'm not brave enough to do anything other than stippling

stippling is a great way to get comfortable with quilting in all directions.

Love me some stippling! As I get better at controlling stippling I'm getting better at other designs, too. Not that I'm ready to commit to them yet, but they're coming along slowly.

I'm not a fan of too much stippling because it seems to make the quilt hard. I prefer meandering or outlines. Nice and floppy for me. Now I think stippling is wonderful in trapunto because it makes the designs pop.
