I can't find a con except maybe that it's messy when being sprayed. I spray on a tarp (used just for this) in the driveway on a non-windy day. And walk on the three layers when they're together with sock feet.....I have absolutely no problems with quilting later. I really like it since it's FAST!!!!!

I LOVE it!

I love it, but for bigger quilts, I still pin, too

Its great just keep away from machines when spraying

If you can find a way to baste outdoors I would do that. It will be better for your lung health and easier to clean up any mistakes. Garage can be a good area with the door open if you have a table to set you stuff on.

I love it and I lay the quilt on a BIG old sheet to avoid overspray.

I'll be the one 'no"...too messy, need to go outside to do so I'd rather just pin or use fusible batting...

I'm glad I clicked on the second page of this thread because you answered my question. Also I like your idea of doing on a big tarp. That's what I'm going to do on my next big quilt.

Nope. no pins required. I usually pin the edges anyway so they won't get stretched with all the handling. I also prefer to use the spray outside because it will make a mess in the house and the fumes are obnoxious.

Love it !! Gave my pins away !!!
