Mickey, I went on this link and cannot find anything labeled "2nd block challenge" can you be more specific to the name of the block I am looking for?

Teresa. click on the link that Mickey posted in her post. That will take you right there. OR, like she said, go to the search button and key in "2nd Block Challenge"

Well, I just found this discussion, but decided to upload my Brasstown Star and variations.

Done last April for a swap

Changing corner blocks to HST gives a whole different look.

Doing the star in two colors gives a whole new look.

Mish, love your block. You did a great job with the color placement.

Bibliostone: Thanks for sharing your pictures. Your blocks are beautiful. I think I will try one with some batiks I have left over from a swap. :-)

Ok...so I'm out of time for the first block challenge.
Not having any pale fabrics, I nevertheless decided to play with this block using some slightly brighter fat quarters in my stash. I'll probably use this block as the back to a cushion. (If I can find where I've put that stitched item last sunday, I'll be able to make the cushion today!!!!!)

btw: The little triangles cut off, I used for the second block challenge

Thank you so much! The quilt is about half done. I need to finish cutting out the 12 1/2" blocks and get it sewn together. Then I'm going to just Stitch in the Ditch on my machine to quilt it

Holes are where the rest of 12 1/2" blocks go
