I'm using up my stash....and it is very large because I've been making quilts since the 70's. I try not to go to quilt stores
any more. Making a scrap quilt uses lots of fabric and fortunately my family likes them as much as I do. Have a friend that has a quilt shop and it is awful to go there and not buy something I really don't need. Will have to clean out that stash.
Bet I have way over 100 yards, then there are the smaller pieces and whatever. You should see the room in the base
ment...Have to clean it out now and will have a garage sale in the spring...fabric, buttons, add ons, mats cutting wheels and I can go on forever. Sold some fabric at our last sale but this time the sewing stuff is going to be listed in cap letters as my friend did that ans she was able to clear out at least half of her stash.

If you don't add to the stash now and then it goes stale. ;-)

I buy fabrics when they're at a good price, and never when they're not. I have a couple of patterns in mind that need 1930's fabrics, and I have absolutely none of that, so if I found it on sale at a great price I would buy some. And I'm always looking for batiks at a great price.

Not gonna make large purchases, but not restricting myself!!!

I would purchase the fabric. LQS fabric is good quality fabric, too good of a deal to pass up at 60% off.
As long as it is quality fabric. Sometimes they put bolts of fabric 'on sale' and it is not LQS quality.
With the price of fabric going up I would take advantage of such a great sale.
Be sure to purchase something you would use in your type of quilts. Tone-on-tone,
or for backing fabrics, size of quilts you make will depend on the yardage to purchase.

I would still use up my stash!

It would depend on if I had the money to spare, although I desperately need to use up my stash. LOL

Are you asking because your LQS is having a big sale? If so, where is it??? As you can tell, I'm all about a great sale! Even if I didn't have a particular pattern in mind, for 60% off, I would buy some nice neutral colors...tone on tones that can be used for future projects.

I would like to think that I would use up my stash but if I were in the store and it was 60% off, I am pretty sure I would have a hard time saying no. ... have to replenish the stash sometime.
