Sure I shop at local quilt shops, and how can I resist???? Everytime I am n the area I like to stop by to "see what's new", they always have exciting classes going on, and as I beginner i love taking classes, and you know when you walk into the shop there is always something that you feel you have to have even if you are not sure what to do with it. :-o

Another one leaving the internet: www.abigailsquiltingtreasures.com. Not a huge selection but priced right...$4.50/yard and top quality fabrics!

Many times I have seen the fabric in person and I hunt for a bargain online. Done great so far. Watch the shipping, it can be too expensive.

Several years ago, Louise Cutting from Orlando, Florida gave our ASG club a program on fabrics. She had three fabrics, all the same pattern, but all different weights. You sure could see the difference between the good stuff and the poor quality.

i believe everything is an additional something off. it should be 40% off the black price. if you have all-over calling, call and ask to see what's left before it's all gone.

i spent $128.00+. that's 60% off what it would have been, which was originally lower price than msr.

So I got my fabrics today and I am thrilled with them.

sorry. today, the 15th, is the lsat day. the buy-out man is coming today.

i'm in nj so they are three hours behind me. please don't let this one go by without looking at the fabrics.

Thanks all. I am checking the website right now!

I love this site!! I have ordered from many of the shops that are listed with them and have had no problems at all. If I know I need a very specific color, and haven't seen it in person, I go to as many shops online as I can to get an idea of the color. One store may have a color tinted a certain way, another may be different, after several you can usually tell by the majority. My only caution would be if you order a directional fabric, call and speak to someone about whether it runs along the lengthwise or crosswise grain (stripes, too). I have called and still not been given the correct information about the direction of the print. Fabric Depot is very good also, they sent me a huge page of sample fabrics when I was trying to find the right cream fabric, at no charge.
