Fabric requirement is out.. All you have to do is save/download it. May the searching stashes commence!!!

Missy

Sorry I guess I still can't find it. I did see the pic you posted with the different fabrics but I was looking for something with yardage. Like how much we need of fabric 1 and so on. have you posted that yet?

Short an Sweet 12-10-2010 08:13 PM

kewl I was thinking oranges, I have a large floral pattern in orange and yellow, & Im thinking a crib size (that would be about the same as a lap quilt I think)

Yes Shortn'Sweet. You can do it control scrappy too. If you pick say color 1 as a green... stay in greens that way when the pattern is done it'll look nice.

Missy

Hi mysikaanne- please explain what the numbers under the column "Big Print" mean, please? Are they the size, or what? Sorry I am being dense tonight...
If I wanted a lap size, which one is that? Thanks, Linda

mysikaanne 12-10-2010 08:28 PM

Big print column means that is how many blocks that have big print in that size of quilt.

I believe those numbers are for how many blocks of the Big Print on the finished quilt size of your choice
ie: I chose Crib , so there will be 5 blocks of the big print on mine

I didn't get anything either, and I believe I am to dense to figure it out after caregiving for Alz. Mom all day and night. Can sew 3-4 am. Can't figure anything out. All I do now is just sew straight lines on everything

craft phanatic 12-10-2010 09:03 PM

I would love to play along. Will you be posting the directions here each week or do we still need to send an email address by pm?

Thanks for offering this to us, MB

sewlilly 12-10-2010 10:01 PM

Downloaded fine and ready to go. I wonder if hawaiian prints would work on this?

wolf3349 12-10-2010 10:21 PM

I would like to get in on the mystery quilt also.
sounds like fun.

dutchie 12-10-2010 11:07 PM

Missy - your big print fabric is rather busy (the large butterflies are close to smaller ones which are close to the leaves.) Is this something you recommend?

My initial choice has the larger focus items more spread out.

Sue

Sew Krazy Girl 12-10-2010 11:40 PM

I hope it's not too late to join. I've never made a mystery quilt and it sounds like fun. I was able to download the fabric requirements. Look for my pm.

I'll give you all 1.. and 1 pre-mystery hint.. LOL (no cheatin'!) LOL The focus print will be a 12 1/2" square. Whatever will look good in that square is how you can judge.. Does this help?

Marye 12-11-2010 12:53 AM

Just pm'ed you.

The column w/ the Big Print is how many pieces of Big Print that are in the quilt. So 2 pieces are for the wallhanging.. as an example. Hope this helps?

Not a timeline as such.. I will do clues weekly when we start. That way everyone gets a chance to get things ready for the next clue.
