The name of the pattern is called Faerie Stones. It is my design..If anyone wants to sign up let me know by PM, email address and then I'll send directions out! Thank you everyone in advance!

Sounds like it may be a fun thing to do. Is there supposed to be a timeline? My work gets busier starting in January thru tax season.

AngieS 12-09-2010 12:02 PM

Sounds neat! I'm sending a pm. Will this be scrappy or ?

burnsk 12-09-2010 12:10 PM

Sounds interesting.

dogsgod 12-09-2010 12:11 PM

I'm interested, keep me posted!

thequilterslink 12-09-2010 12:12 PM

sounds fun

oatw13 12-09-2010 12:20 PM

Sounds like fun! Sending a PM :)

mysikaanne 12-09-2010 04:32 PM

Wow! Love the response! LOL I've pm'd everyone that sent me a message back, but if you haven't done it send me your email address and I'll get you the fabric requirements out. We will start it in late Dec, and it will be one 'clue' every week until it's done! I look forward to seeing different views! Hint: Pick a big print focus. This one is great for that purpose. Then pick the colors from that to augment the rest of the quilt.. Hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to PM me!

Wow. Sounds like fun. Especially if I don't have to keep to a timeline exactly.

Am doing one now but am a tad bit unhappy as the cutting has to be exact and I am still recovering from eye surgery. wish I had waited. However, I did learn I prefer a quilt design that lets me trim it down and not always be exact.

Will PM you.

thanks,
ali

what's a mystery quilt? do you give the directions for a full block? I just love this site. After Xmas I plan on starting to make a quilt. Last and only quilt I made was 15 years ago.

kriscraft99 12-09-2010 06:46 PM

how big will it be in the end? how long do you think it will take us? and.... is it "beginner" friendly?

This sounds soooooooo interesting!

I didn't get a message from you. :( Am I missing something? So will this be like one cut a week or one block a week?

wanderingcreek 12-09-2010 09:30 PM

I am willing to give this a try. Hopefully I have enough fabrics to do this.

mysikaanne 12-09-2010 09:36 PM

A mystery quilt basically has 'clues'.. which are typically steps to sew. The one we are doing is a full quilt from cribsize up to kingsize.

Jim 12-09-2010 09:44 PM

dutchie 12-09-2010 11:28 PM

mysikaanne 12-10-2010 01:54 AM

Missy

Definitely! Well, for those who don't exactly know what a mystery quilt is...
It's 'clues' which are technically steps to complete the quilt. To 'solve the mystery' you have to put all the pieces together! :) This is definitely a beginner friendly quilt.

Short an Sweet 12-10-2010 08:01 PM

k so I'm counting we need 9 different fabrics? is that correct?

mysikaanne 12-10-2010 08:05 PM

Yes Shortn'Sweet. You can do it control scrappy too. If you pick say color 1 as a green... stay in greens that way when the pattern is done it'll look nice.
