Without arms. Go to an office store and sit in all of them. I found one that was only around $40 on sale that was perfect for me. Buy one of the acrylic mats that are made to go under office chairs. The wheels roll so nicely on them.

If your chair is for sewing only - no arms, they only get in the way. If you are going to use it for other things as well as sewing - get arms that raise up out of the way (a lot more expensive). Go to your local office supply and try them out as there are different levels of comfort and rollability.

I use an old drum throne - it is a stool on wheels with a pad - no arms or back. Height adjusts and it swivels, too.

I would go for no arms also they just seem to get in the way

I have a leather with arm, rolling office chair and I love it!! Got it at Staples for around $100.00. We have the same chair in front of our computer desk. That kind of chair meets all of my needs.

I actually like my chair to have arms. Works for me. Good support is a must.

I have a new chair that I dearly love. It is the best of both worlds. It has a mesh back that is cooler than a solid back and the arme roll back out of the way when you donw want to use them. Got it at Walmart and the cost was less than $75. At least go look and see what you think.

No arms! I recently purchased a Horn sewing chair and I LOVE it. I had been using cheap office chairs but this chair, it is sooo comfy. I ordered it online from somewhere. Check around and get a deal. I balked at ordering because they were going to charge me $18.00 tax and that is why I order online, to prevent that...but this place is in Texas and so am I. Anyway, he lowered the price so it would cost what it would without the tax! Good luck in our quest! But again, no arms. You lose the ability to really get up close and personal with your sewing machine!
