Never ever use canned air on your machine! If your machine is computerized, the dust can cause real problems with sensors. I know some who use a small makeup brush to clean. I like to use pipe cleaners, a small lint free piece of material (diaper cloth is good) and patience. Actually I find cleaning my machine soothing. Like taking care of a baby!

Canned air is a big NO-NO, and can cause you more problems than you already had. I like to use the older metal brushes that we used to use to spread clue with. then take a softer bristled brush to clean out better. The vacuum works great too.

Pipe cleaners work well. So do Q-tips.

In a pinch I use the watercolor brushes (clean) I bought for my grandson.

I use pipe cleaners, and when we have our machines in for checkups, he tells us they are very clean inside.

Pipe cleaners, they go into any corner. Love them.

Long handled makeup brush (new) or thoroughly washed and dried mascara wand.

I use a pipe cleaner that I stick thru a straw with just the end of the pipe cleaner sticking out. I fold the pipe cleaner in half so that the "loop" part is out of the straw. It sure does grab dust & lint like a magnet..and I throw it away when it gets gunky. The first time I used it I was shocked by how much lint it found. I thought I had been doing a good job of keeping it clean on my own. =)

I use a brush made for applying eyeshadow (new). I have the Bernina 640 and it works well. Plus I use a pipe cleaner.

I use small paint brushes and, for those hard to reach places, a new, (never used) mascara brush. Workes beter than Q-tips. The brisels just touch lint and it is stuck, can be hard to get it out but works great.
