Has anyone ordered anything from Clotilde? I may put an order in and I was just wondering if they are a good company.

yes - good company - i get e-mails and catalogs via snail mail all the time.

They are fast and reliable.

I've only used them once but they had a cone thread holder I couldn't find anywhere else, and the merchandise came when it was supposed to.

They've always been a good company to deal with. Clotilde sold the company several years ago to a group of male investors but retained a consulting position with the company. They've taken advantage of the internet and email and increased their catalog items and they have really good sales so get on their email list.

I guess I'm the only one that WILL NOT order from them again. Had nothing but trouble with them.

Even though I had a problem once with them, the customer service was exceptional. Yes, they are very good to deal with.

I have ordered from them and been very happy. But don't assume that they have the best prices. Make sure you check out the prices before you order. I paid too much for one item I ordered. But it was my fault for not checking.

It's been years and years but I never had trouble. Their older catalogs have a picture of my son in them. I designed a pattern for Sewbaby and they used my son as a model for the cover. He was pretty excited to see himself in "magazines". lol. He's 11 now so it's not a big deal anymore.

Sorry fast shipping has not been fast for me. I ordered from this company and I'm having a dilly of a time getting the goods I ordered and it has been over a week since my goods have been shipped and I recived nothing! With the amount of money I paid for shipping my stuff should have arrived ealier than this and I sent them an email telling then how unhappy I am and asked for the tracking # or if they would put a tracer on my stuff. This is disgusting. I won't be ordering from them again and I told them so. Good luck, Huggies, Fay

Always have had a good experience with them.

I've used them a number of times with no problems. Once I ordered that "ring on a hanger" that you'd use for hanging up all your rulers. Turns out the standard ruler holes were too small to thread onto the thing. Their Customer Service was excellent and they immediately processed a refund and didn't make me pay to ship it back.

I just recieved an email with the tracking # that I requested and I tracted it and my package should be here tomorrow. They are very good with handling complaints and such. So I'm happy about that, but it beats me why I did not recieve the tracking # before when they said it had been shipped. Any way. I may reconsider ordering from them again. I love their bobbin holders that are 2 for $7.00. They have some other stuff that you don't normally see either.

I had the same situation as Bobbinchick! It took almost 2 weeks to get my order! I also did the same-had to email to get the tracking number and I called customer service to let them know I was not happy! They were very nice and my order did arrive the next day but I've never had an order take this long--even machine cabinet!! Good luck with your order and hope all turns out well. Judging from all the positive comments, maybe they just can't get it right all the time.

Although the merchandise I ordered was fine, delivery _was very slow. Took over 2 weeks to arrive. I have had much better experience with Connecting Threads and others. I will probably not order from them again--too slow.

A very good sewing supplies catalog. I knew Clotilde in person for years at the SewExpo in Puyallup , Wa.
She did sell the business a few years back but it seams to be running very well. Never had any problems...

never had a problem with download pd patterns or mailed orders.

I've always had satisfactory service from them.

I've used them for feet for sewing machines and such. I haven't tried any of their fabric though, I'm leery of it without being able to touch it. They are slow at shipping but everywhere is now. I think their shipping fees are high.
