Oh no!!!! I'm a dork! I love your quilt! I think I would echo 2 more times around the outside of the cups and maybe once inside them. I would then mark 1 or 1 1/2 inches from the SITD lines you've already done and stitch there as well. You've done a truly lovely job on your first quilt.

You know what would really kick this quilt up a notch? Some x-rated meandering!! Lol just kidding....did you read the previous post.
Cute quilt by the way. I think it looks good the way it is.

This quilt is darling!! Here's what I would do for further quilting. Go get some NEW 1 inch masking tape...don't use old. Put a piece of tape along the seamline on the top of the block. Make this tape go ALL the way across the quilt. Now put another piece of tape right below the one you just placed. Basically you have two pieces of tape with a seam between them. Now go to the outside of each piece of tape and sew straight across. Do this for all horizontal and vertical seam lines. It will be a fast grid, it will take up some of the interior of each block where there is no quilting and it should take care of your quilting needs. Good luck and smile! You're going to be a good quilter.

Love your quilt! More quilting needed. Maybe more echo quilting around the mugs........and a spiral, inspired by the steam, could work...have the spiral begin at the intersection of four block corners and enclose part of each block. IMHO, curves would be the way to go....SID makes me nervous. LOL

Nice quilt, and I agree with this suggestion.

better to be safe, than sorry , and wash the quilt and have a problem and then you would cry buckets.

I love it!

I like the idea of the echo Quilting - more rows about 2 inches apart following the Shape of the Mug or some crosshatching in the whole square just to the last row of the Echo stitching.. Very Nice Quilt...

I would add a couple more rounds of echo quilting around each cup that would fill the area in the corners a little more.

I think it will be fine. Your block is 10" square and each block has stitching around the mug which looks like about 3-3.5" from each side of the block which has SID so you're within the 2- 4inch limit recommended for the batting. I think your quilt looks great!
