I work mornings so most of my fun time is afternoons and evenings. My quilting room is an office space off the master bedroom. I want to switch it to one of the spare bedrooms. It is going to be a project and I haven't worked up the energy to do it. |
I'm retired too. I quilt during the day whenever I can.

I quilt when I want. Usually, it's late afternoon. DH is not dependent on me for meals if I decide to sew instead of cook.

I've been trying to get a little done each evening after work and also a couple of hours on the weekends. In the past I liked to set aside bigger blocks of time but haven't been able to do that lately. The hard part is stopping after an hour or so because once I get started I like to keep going. But I find I'm making more progress than waiting for those bigger blocks of time.

Any time I can.

I quilt evenings and after midnight. In the daytime I'm too sleepy, or busy, one extreme or another. Afternoons I spend with my dh, he works nights.

I work full-time M through F, so I try to spend a little sewing time in the evenings after running errands on the way home, supper, a 2 mile walk, taking my dogs out to potty, and a chore or two so I won't have all of it to do on the weekend. Whew!
And I reserve Sunday afternoons for me and my sewing machine. I love Sunday afternoons! |
