Do you clip and toss and clean later, or do you have a place for the clippings and put them in their place? Do the thread catchers that hang on the side of the table attached to a pin cushion help to corral the clippings? What do you do with all those clippings over time? Toss or use in another way? |

Works great!!....or I've used masking tape and the wide postal tape.
|
I use my left over batting cut in squares the thread stays on there then I throw it out.

I TRY to put those devilish little threads and fabric bits into the trash can as I go along but it's as though they take on a life of their own once released from the sewing machine
and stick to my fingers when I try to release them, drop to my clothes and then dance their way to the floor where they stay 'till I'm through with the current project. Then I clean them all up and start all over again with the next project! |
I try to put most in the trash can, not in the floor. I like a clean floor when I'm sewing. If my fabric hits the floor, I want it clean.
|
I just throw them where ever and my chair wheels pick them up... of course the wheels don't work very good any more...
|
I aim for the trash can, but the floor catches just as much.
|
Ditto, I aim for the trash, but it seems that some still end up on the floor. Thank goodness the new sewing room has a tile floor--not carpet anymore! :)

I have a thread catcher and use it all the time...hardly
ever have any threads on the floor at all...I think you would really like it |
