comments to the topic's. all the way to the end of the topic or do you just read the first few ?
Usually all.
Depends on if it is an item I wish to really know more about, if commenting on someone's pictures, mostly just a short comment and possibly bookmark for future bucket list reference.
Usually all, especialaly before I post. I love reading all the ideas and things qb members are up to. DOn't read jokes and such though...need more time for ther quilty things. Maybe this is why I am on here so long each day. LOL
pretty much what Butterflies stated. And if its in the morning with my first cup of coffee I will usually take the time to read all of them.
I would never reply to a thread in which I did not read every prior post.
If I'm watching a thread (even if I haven't posted to it), I read every post - otherwise, what's the point in watching? |
If it's something I'm really into, I will watch and read all. Others I read a few and then comment, but I won't watch. Some I have been following for sometime now. I like it when they go on for a long time.
No, nor do I read all the topics or play any word games. Just pick & choose and reply to anything I feel like and post pics. Love the compliments and love to give them !
It depends, if I am commenting on a quilt, I usually comment on it and go on. However, if the topic is of interest to me I read through and make sure I am not duplicating someone elses response.
Depends. If there are few pages, I read them all. If many pages, I get the gist of the conversation and then post or not.
sometimes. If I'm making a comment or reply, I read every comment before adding my 2 cents. If it's a picture, I usually only look at the picture and the first couple comments. If I'm not interested after reading the OP, then that's usually all I read. It irks me when I can tell posters have not read the whole topic (all prior comments included) before commenting.
If it's something I think I might comment to, I read them all so I don't contribute what's already been said, a lot (O: If I'm curious about the topic/answers I read until I see a trend or the answer that makes the most sense to me. Otherwise, I just read the first few and move on.
I read all the way through...otherwise you can miss some really good information, websites, etc., given throughout quilters responses!!!
Just read what I want. I do keep up with Debbie's PDA even tho I don't post. She is a marvel!!
It depends on the topic, but if I am responding I try to read them all first.
Pictures I will skim through some, looking to see if additional ifo has been added. It is hard to read everything as some topics may have 5+ pages before I see it LOL There are sooo many new topics here each day it is impossible to read them all and every comment too :D:D:D |
it depends on the topic.
many of the posts go away from the original topic and then i drop out. |
I try to read them all. There is so much great information!
usually way to many... alot of the times all
That depends on the topic, and how many answers
I usually read them all. They are just interesting.

Sometimes I read all, depends on the topic, I don't always comment on them. I try to look at all the pictures at least once a day, don't always comment. Depends on my mood.
if interesting, i sure do!

If I am commenting on a problem or question I will read ALL the posts. I will also read all the posts if I want to ask a question that requires the OP to respond (just in case someone else asked the same question).
If I like a quilt and am giving a compliment I may or may not. |
Depends. If someone is asking for an opinion or showing a project, then I don't but if someone is asking how to do something I read to see if what I would have posted has already recommended, then I just move on.

sometimes yes, sometimes no.
depends. |
Sometimes I do. But I read all the topics.
I scan the whole threads if it has my interest or untill there is enough answers or suggestions to a thread. I enjoy seeing all the ideas and suggestions . They really help to develope a more open approach to my work.
thank you all! |
Sometimes the disconnects that result from people not having read all of a topic can make one wonder.
Well, not really. I just need to think of some of the discussions I've had with DH. I think it's fairly "safe" to jump to the end of a thread complimenting someone on a quilt that he/she made. |
I used to, then I found myself spending literally hours on here. Now If I am looking for a pattern name is when I read every one.
If it's a quilt picture that I'm commenting on, I don't read first, just comment. I think 17 folks saying "stunning" is great reinforcement!
If, however, I want to respond to a posted question, I read them all first. If what I wanted to say is already covered, I don't see the need to repeat it. |
Usually, except new members. I read what they write and then respond to them. Sometimes catch others comments.
sometimes.
I love it ALL read every last one!

It depends on the day. I read most on good days - not so much on other days. It depends on how busy I am...
it depends of the topic and the attitudes or responses..I tend to stray away from the negative...blessings
maybe the past two weeks, cause I do try to keep up with most of whats on the board. Then sometimes I get lax then habve to catch up again.
