Now that you've asked I do think polka dots are girly. I've never seen anything in ready to wear for men in polka dots. However, I love the blocks.

My DH and DS say polka dots are girly. I love your blocks though!

I love the blocks. The black and white prints are gender neutral. Since you added the more pinkish striping into it, I think that does make it more feminine. It is beautiful either way.

I think dots are for anyone.

Thanks, everybody for your opinions. Although I and many of you don't consider dots to be feminine, the responses that came when people asked their male family members indicate that I should target this quilt to girls if I want to use the dotted fabrics that I have. It does make it easier for me, since I can find other black and white fabrics that have flowers easier than strictly geometrics.

So I am going to proceed with my project. Right now I plan to have the strips in various bright colors, such as the red in my pictures, and the back will be a tiny floral - white on black. This quilt will certainly be a fun project!
