Can someone please tell me where I can purchase the comic boards??? I've purchased 2 doz. of the fabric boards, but they are pricey!!! Bolts take up too much room, so I'll check out the comic boards...

Thanks so much for all your imput!

I bought a huge box of used ones on ebay. There's a box of over 1,000 up for auction right now (as of 5/21/11).

It's the coated cardstock-like thing collectors use to put behind their comic books when they store/display them.

walmart throws them away when they finish with a bolt ask if you can have the cardboard 9 times out of 10 they will give it to you then just wrap your material back around it.

i get shrink wrap at menards. it comes on a 5 inch roll and after i get my fabric wrapped, i put a couple wraps of the shrink wrap around it. it holds it so it won't unwrap and i write the amount of material i have on the shrink wrap

I went to Joannes and asked for the cardboard that the bolts of fabric are on and they are FREE and the right width just cut it to the size you want I used 11" I think haven't made any for long time. They only throw them in the trash
