flying geese
The Ricky Timm One seam Flying Geese doesn't require any rulers, if you are trying to save on the dollars end of your quilt.

I used Eleanor Burns method also and have the rulers that make it quick and easy for me. I made the quilt "Bears in the Woods" and, let me tell you, you get to know her method quite well! Can't remember the number you have to make but it's a lot of them!

Kaye Wood has a wonderful method. Watch it on youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbtEigFY0r8 Kaye does not waste material and it really is easy.
|
OK you've jogged my memory that I bought a new ruler to make flying geese and haven't tried it yet. It's from www.PerfectCornerRuler.com and their website has a tutorial on how to use it.

I use Eleanor Burns method and rulers-every thing comes out even.
|
I make mine into a paperpiece. I don't like to put all the small pieces together but I love to paperpiece.
|
I feel imitated by flying geese, but now wondering what I am missing by avoiding them. I am going to bookmark this thread for sure!

Ricky Timms one seam method every time!!!!

I am making a FG border for a quilt so I will need a lot of them. With a lot of experimenting, I found this method to be the easiest with the least waste. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOoB3...eature=related

I actually paper piece my flying geese, some of you may think what a pain in the !@? but I enjoy paper piecing and I can adjust the size on my computer them print the papers needed.
