I would love to copy Moonworks reply, but the 3 ring binder in my "Mom-cave" would make me a liar. As would the diagrams of patterns that are on my desk or in that book.
Bearpaw, you might check for another of your composition books now. I think I saw them in school supplies this past week.
Happy sketching,
Susan

I use it all the time and keep my diagram with the paper copies of the quilts that I create. Retired 4th grade teacher and still write and draw even after training teachers and students how to use the "new" Apple computers from 1986 to 2010.....hands on paper as well as computers for me.

I use graph paper all the time, actually have a large pad of it that I take everywhere and I found great sites to print different sizes & shapes. I would be lost without my graph paper!
Pit is the only way I can keep my quilts ( contained) without sketching out the size of my quilt they seem to grow & grow...( my daughter's wedding quilt is 14 feet long! Couldnt seem to keep it from growing....that's when I learned to start on graph paper)

I use the paper sometimes but mostly I use the graph from incompetech.com
then draw my blocks in gimp. Less waste of paper and I can play with the
blocks faster than I can drawn and paint on paper.

I use it all the time to draw out ideas or blocks I have seen and like, then figure what measurements I want.

I love using graph paper. And I use my colored pencils, too!

Cybrarian 07-20-2016 03:13 PM

I use it too. Haven't made room in the budget for EQ and "learning curve" is always mentioned; so will need to wait until I get through the " learning curve" of things I already have! Until then I will consider my time with my graph paper and colored pencils my participation in the slow stitch movement :)

I see that I still am in some very good company. Thank you for responding.
