I use graph paper all the time. Love it.

Heavens NO!! I use it all the time for drawing up patterns to paper piece! You are not alone!

I can buy it in a pack of 100 just like lined paper, etc.

Yes, I use it. I have a composition book with the graph paper in it. :) Great for doodling, and new designs.

used a quilt designing software program for a bit but found myself going back to the graph paper. just easier for me to design my quilts that way.

Sometimes when I don't want to actually quilt, I design on graph paper; I actually have about 13-14 full pads designs from 30 years of using graph paper, couldn't live without it! All my beginner classes start with using it; not everybody has or can afford the EQ series.

No, you aren't. I just recently adapted a quilt block to use in wearable art. I needed to make it smaller. I drew it on graph paper, one square = 1 inch so I had the sized for the strips (it was a log cabin variation) and added seam allowances. It worked great.

I do, no computer skills so it works for me

I use it. I am a beginner and don't have EQ7. I thought I should prove to myself that I can actually make a quilt before I invest. :) EQ7 may be a reward for myself when I attain some competency.

I could never give up graph paper even then though. It's so second nature to me (from art school).

I use graph paper all the time. I have several tablets of it full of quilts I want to try, might try, may never try. I find it relaxing to just design them. I have worked out several to the point I probably could publish them, but don't know how to do it and protect my art, and I can't afford an attorney to help. If any of you might like to see some, let me know, and I will post some. My graph paper goes from 4 squares to the inch down to 10 squares to the inch.

Jan, the way your mind works, I would love to spend a few hours meeting your design pads. I bet they are amazing. Nice to know I share at least one talent with you. (Well, that and your humor.) Hugs
