Has anyone tried this tool for binding?

I was thinking about purchasing the perfect binding miter tool. Does anyone own one and if so, do you think it is helpful? Thank you.

I think I have one somewhere, never used it. All I do is make 1/4 in from end of seam so I know where to stop before turning.

Yes, and it works IF an WHEN you can figure out how to use it. Be sure to watch the video to try to figure it out. It took me forever, but once the lights came on I felt like an idiot for not seeing it sooner. Now I have a little "sample" that I pull out every time that it it "binding time." My brain just couldn't remember the process as I don't finish quilts as fast as I would like.

you don't need any "tool" for making good bindings Just be sure to have consistent and accurate seams right down the the end of the row Carefully fold all parts for mitre...........if something doesn't work, then rip it out and figure out why it didn't. bet you will discover seams not consistent.

Yes, I have it and use it all the time. The trick is to stop slightly before the mark.
If you go over the mark chances are you will get a rabbit ear.

I use the Fons & Porter binding tool. It's easy. It works perfect every time and its inexpensive.

I use this one, too. I used to have a lot of trouble with bindings and now mine are perfect. It's available from the same place as your link: http://www.connectingthreads.com/too...l__D81849.html
or you can usually use a coupon at Joann's (and they're on sale a lot there).
