He's definitely interested! This is how my sister hooked her guy a couple of years ago. Invite him to your home for a lasagna dinner. You can always invite him back for leftovers, too.

How sweet! You go girl! ;-)

I think you have had many great suggestions so I have nothing to add regarding the pattern.

Just wanted to wish you well with getting to know him better. Don't do anything the rest of us wouldn't do. {smiles}

Not getting too cheesy I would go with a carpen ters star in his fav colors. Might want to stay away from floral unless you know he would be comfortable with them. The tools fabric would be good as long as it is not too kidish. You could also add other theme fabrics in if he has other hobbies. But go simple. Depending on size you could so the carpenters star in the middle and then log cabins around it. It is really up to you. Go with your gut. The fabric and pattern will speak hiss name to you. At least that is my experience.

Also remember don't be too easy as they say. Most men want to feel like they are in control and the "predator". That is how I sagged my guy.

Good luck!

Sounds promising! :-)

I think it's okay to make the quilt for him -

but I would not give it to him for a while -

it could have "implications" to him -

I think I would continue with feeding him for a while.

KSCrafter 08-20-2011 02:02 PM

Yes, I'm going to stick with feeding him for awhile! I don't want to be out and out stalking him. He picked the cobbler up and we were able to have a pretty lengthy conversation. And again he mentioned needing to come by my house to do a couple extra things to the quilting shed. We're just waiting on the weather to cool off. Then I'll probably need to hire him for some work again anyway. When that is done, I might have a quilt done for him. Just a small throw in a 1-person size- nothing too pushy or suggestive! I've started a Carpenter's Star using browns that looked like a bit of wood grain. Not sure what I'll pick for the backing.

Thanks for the good thoughts and well wishes!
