#2 is my fav.

BeckyL 08-15-2011 04:02 AM

The blue, the blocks just pop on that one.

Shelbit30 08-15-2011 04:03 AM

eastermarie 08-15-2011 04:18 AM

I like the blue, the blocks show up very nicely on it,

Blue. Especially with the yellow backing.

psquared52 08-15-2011 04:27 AM

Blue for sashing, yellow for backing. Won't it feel great to finish it?

sewmorethings 08-15-2011 04:33 AM

I vote the blue, really brings it together

onthelake 08-15-2011 04:34 AM

I vote for the blue also. I think it brings out the intricate design of the blocks and is calming. The yellow is pretty also, I'm just a fan of blue with yellow, not yellow with blue. :)

jitkaau 08-15-2011 04:35 AM

I prefer the yellow as the blocks tend to run into the blue one and there is no distinct line of where the sashing starts. It also looks fresher and less heavy.

Mkotch 08-15-2011 04:38 AM

#3 - yellow!

Baloonatic 08-15-2011 04:39 AM

They look great both ways, but I'm leaning to the blue. But the yellow looks so fresh! I guess it depends on the recipient and their colors, as well as the colors of the room in which it would be used.
Have you thought about a 1/8" border or flange in a darker blue around each block to really frame them? Perhaps lighten the blue color just a little, it is kinda dull in color.
My DH just weighed in, he likes the yellow, said it frames the blocks, and that particular blue looks dull. But it could just be the pic

Candy Apple Quilts 08-15-2011 04:44 AM

I vote for blue...

okiedee 08-15-2011 04:57 AM

Blue...it pops the yellow. Beautiful quilt by the way.

susie-susie-susie 08-15-2011 05:07 AM

I vote for the blue with yellow cornerstones. The yellow in the picture seems closer to gold, and the darker blue makes the blocks pop. Pretty quilt, BTW.

I like the blue as well.

glorcour 08-15-2011 05:24 AM

I like the yellow best

Barb44 08-15-2011 05:38 AM

I would do a narrow (1" finished) yellow border and then the blue border. It's a beautiful quilt. Love your blocks and the colors.

leatheflea 08-15-2011 05:46 AM

I like 2 its seem more cheerful and just jumped out at me.

Phyl 08-15-2011 05:47 AM

The blue seems to bring it all together so nicely. The yellow separates the blocks and makes it look a bit disjointed. The blue on the front and the yellow on the back would be my choice BUT it should be what YOU like best.

marymay 08-15-2011 05:57 AM

Love the yellow

mhansen6 08-15-2011 05:57 AM

I like either of the yellow ones. It looks so much like summer.

Blue is striking...

toodie11 08-15-2011 06:23 AM

I really lke the blue

karenpatrick 08-15-2011 06:26 AM

I prefer the yellow. The blocks seem to "pop" more on the yellow. Blue and yellow is my favorite color combination. It's a lovely quilt. You should be very proud.

deanneellen 08-15-2011 06:30 AM

I like the yellow with the yellow posts.

grannypat7925 08-15-2011 06:34 AM
