I think a Navy blue might make all the blocks stand out more and maybe some yellow for a border. Otherwise, I prefer the blue to the white
|
I don't think that your quilt is ugly either. I do like the blue sashing. It gives it a softer look. Ever thought about doing the disappearing 4 patch with your blocks? You wouldn't have to worry with the sashing. I am for easy!!!! Good Luck

If you want to mix it up a little, you could do a disappearing 4patch. just google D4p and it will show you how to do it. It turns out really pretty.
But what you have there is not ugly. I like the blue bg with the corner stones. |
I think the blue is the better choice. If you are disappointed that your quilt looks 'ugly', why not be a bit more brave in your background choice and put red as the sashing or some other background that will make the colours pop. Try a whole lot of different colours before you decide on a safe or conservative choice - you may be surprised as to how nice your quilt does look after that.

I think a darker blue would work nice.
Nothing wrong with your blocks, I like them. |
Blue sashing would look great with the blocks. Maybe you could find a little bit darker blue material with some wild dark blue, white and yellow pattern in it (just an idea).
I like your colors and I like your blocks. It will be a nice quilt, you'll see! |
I like the blue, and like most of the others on the board it is not ugly. Can't wait to see it finished, it will look great ether color
|
Nothing ugly about that quilt!! I like the blue...

I love the blue sashing with the white for corner blocks. I also find your blocks quite lovely and not ugly at all. Here's another volunteer home for it if you still don't like it when it's done. LOL.I know you will love it tho. It's going to be even more beautiful when it done.
