Oops! I guess if I had read all the posts first I would not have needed to answer. Oh, well now you know you can add another check to the sampler column!

Have a look at some of these sites http://www.threadsgalore.com/free-patterns.htm They quite often have patterns for a whole fabric collection which is usually around 8 fabrics. All the manufacturers offer free patterns these are only just some of them. Good luck

Really pretty fabric, Debbie. The first thing I saw was a Lone Star. You said you have 5 yards each of 3 of the fabrics. If one of those is the white w/yellow print, that would be great for the background and one of the other large pieces for the border. The other 6 fabrics would make your Lone Star. If you haven't made one before, they're really simple because you can strip piece all those diamonds. Jinny Beyer has a good page showing how the sections are divided. http://www.jinnybeyer.com/quilting-w...54BB98981E6E85

I can't even count right. No wonder I can't find a pattern. I have eight fabrics, not seven.
Speaking of ideas, I usually have several quilt ideas ruminating before I can get to them. I tend to keep them stored on Pinterest if I can find good pictures like what I want. Then when I find a cool fabric collection as you have, I check through my pins on pinterest and find the right quilt. |
This is what I had in mind when I posted (above).

What about a fan block or log cabin?

How about this one - your fabrics would show up beautifully on one like this. I found it in Quilting Quickly. It is not perfect, I am still learning this quilting stuff. And I did change the recommended colors but wanted to use some of my stash and this worked great for me. It is all hand-quilted.

You could use what you want for a border and it there is enough use the last for border.

They are really beautiful fabrics!
I see a sampler quilt with your fabrics. Start looking through your quilt books and pick out your favorite blocks. You will be able to use all the fabrics, but maybe not in the same blocks. But it will add a lot of interest and look beautiful. |
