I make a lot of quilts and I'm a happy camper. |
I started sewing when I was 8 (I'm 52), was in 4-H when my mom was the advisor, worked for a short while at an alterations shop, sew, sew, sewed. Garments with a quilt here and there in the beginning, now quilting, with a few garments thrown in
Not to mention the curtains, slipcovers, various other 'decorating' items |
I sew alot as well. But, if you are going to sew from patterns, you need to check (if you have them) Hancock's Fabrics and Hobby Lobby, they have periodic sales and their patterns are $1.99 and $.99. When they are $.99 is when I buy them . They have a limit of buying ten per shopping trip. But who says you didn't forget something and have to go back.
My appologies if someone has already stated this. |

Been sewing since I could thread a needle. I made my barbie clothes cause couldn't afford to buy them. Started making my own cloths in junior high, think boys should be required to take home ec. Started making western shirts when I was about 18. If you can make a western shirt you can make anything. When I started crafting for shows started making stuffed animals and dolls. I decided I wanted to learn to quilt and I find it much harder. I plan on having clothes for my craft shows this year, am working on a line that looks good on women no matter their size or age and girls clothes that look mod not like teenage hookers. Give you any help I can.
