Read through all the replies. Still on the fence about joining a guild.

I pay $15 to one and $18 or $20 to the other...both worth it.

$25 - worth it? Probably - we're a new guild. We do different in-house (volunteer) tutorials and show-n-tell. I've wondered what our dues are going to 'go' for... question to be asked.

This might be a silly question, but how do you even find a guild? I googled it and found ones for the state and there are some that are 10-20 min away and others that are 30-45 min away from me. How do you choose?

Most guilds allow for visitors to come to at least one meeting for free to see if they'd like to join. Some guilds are by invitation only, so I doubt you'd find information about those online. You might also check at your local quilt shop to see if any of the employees are members of a guild or have recommendations about one.

Ours is $20 the first year and then $15 after that. Members over 80 years old don't pay dues.
