It would make a nice feature fabric in a disappearing 9 patch or large center square of a courthouse step or log cabin block. It would as the center of a square within a square block.

Borders or sashing being careful when you cut so that the roses are always upright.

Maybe a stack and whack pattern

That is beautiful fabric! There are a number of ways to use it. I think it would be a beautiful border!

Beautiful fabric!

JCquilts 04-10-2011 09:13 AM

I agree that the warm wishes would be the best pattern for this print.
It is a beautiful fabric

Gorgeous fabric but don't have any ideas either. Sorry.

That is gorgeous fabric. Lately I'm hooked on rose fabric. I bought some Rose Whispers fabric by clothworks but can't find any more. This is very pretty, what is it called?

It's from a collection called "Red Rose", by Fabric Freedom.

Use it as a central patch.

How about a OBW

annpryor 04-11-2011 01:05 PM

I would use it in a Stack and Whack.

A lot of great suggestions and have fun picking a pattern, but when I saw it thought of the log cabin block. Then I read all the comments and suggestions and good luck and have fun.
P.S. Show us pics when you are done :o)

Wasn't once was enough!

I'd accent it with the black and green and let the roses stand on their own. The pattern that several people suggested, Warm Wishes would be perfect you could use large pieces of the roses fabric.

tntgranny 04-12-2011 04:20 AM

Love the suggestions. I have purchased that fabric along with some of the companion fabrics to make a quilt for my daughter - red roses are her favorite. She's a big Beauty and the Beast fan. I want to make a quilt for her new apartment at college. Appreciate the ideas.

Use the "Just Can't Cut It" quilt pattern for large prints.
