Do one on using selvedges.

Making crumb blocks, mile-a-minute blocks. Using selvedges, showing how to use up scraps!! The best of re-cycling!!!

I just did one Sat. We had 16 ladies and we work with Scraps. They learned how to do 3 different blocks in 4 hours. !. Diagonal strips, 2. Blocked Square,
and 3. Pick up Sticks . It was nice and a great way to use most of your scraps. Also you could try the 10 minute table runner, tote bags, aprons, mini quilts, you could do a class on how to measure and cut properly, how to square, etc. There is so much we still have to learn and we learn from one another. |
scissor fobs
mitered corners basics of needleturn applique basics of paper piecing use of color in quilting If you had more lead time, I would suggest polling your members for what they would like to learn. Our group has every level of quilter, so the basics are good in our group... Maybe not needed in yours. |
How about Suzanne McNeil's 10 minute block?
|
WOW these are great ideas!! Wish we could do them here on the board, what fun that would be.
