I tend to avoid the posts that have lots of pages because i don't have the time to go through them all. My suggestion: It would be helpful if posters used more detailed topic descriptions though since it's sometimes hard to tell what a post is about for the few words included. JMHO :) And I always include name of pattern/book/fabric range etc in initial post but it would seem some people only look at the pictures. |

I read when I can and post when I want...It's a free board and country! I don't mind reading extra post...I enjoy this board very much and would hate for someone to ruin it for me...that can happen.

I had to look up the meaning of curmudgeon.

Try your best to be patient with people. I try and fail constantly, but patience is a good goal.

That's why I'm here! :) |

Or, I could see that there have been four pages posted here and say what I have to say without reading all of them. Human nature apparently. No one wants to read a 12 page thread just to talk to the original poster. You'll forget what they said by the time you run the gauntlet. That's why we have the habit of addressing the OP online.
So, OP, it's fine to have a pet peeve but don't actually expect human nature to bend to accommodate the weight of said peeve. I quite like pet peeves. That, and complaining about people who outrank us. National pastimes. |
I don't mind reading repeat posts that come from different people. I never realized it was a problem.
Is it? |
I don't always have the time to read 4 or 5 pages, so I don't mind if someone posts the same answer or question. It saves me from having to read page after page. And if I do have the time to read, I enjoy the posts, even repeats ones.
