My machines are all older so can' t imagine such a feature. Everytime I start though I am in the habit of holding both threads for a few stitches so don't know how much it would help. Anyway I love my older two Berninas, my Elna and my Brother 6500 and then my Gem Gold and my Featherweight. Can't justify another machine.

Me...I wish for a machine with a larger bobbin. LOL
Thinking a bobbin size of around quarter size or bigger. |

I start with a full bobbin in the bobbin. All the partial bobbins I use for my top thread. Several weeks ago I had dozens of partial bobbins and used them for piecing a quilt. The color doesn't matter when you make a scrappy quilt. When I think I am getting low on the bobbin, I remove it and then finish using it in the top. You would be surprised on how many empy bobbins I now have.
