My machines are all older so can' t imagine such a feature. Everytime I start though I am in the habit of holding both threads for a few stitches so don't know how much it would help. Anyway I love my older two Berninas, my Elna and my Brother 6500 and then my Gem Gold and my Featherweight. Can't justify another machine.

Have this feature on my Babylock....would never buy another machine without it. It works on a laser sensor so if your bobbin area gets too full of lint, the sensor can't do its job so it's important to keep that area very clean.

Me...I wish for a machine with a larger bobbin. LOL
Thinking a bobbin size of around quarter size or bigger.

Good suggestion. This way, you don't feel bad about taking out a bobbin that is only partially filled and replacing it with a full one. Besides I hate looking at a bobbin with a small amount of thread on it, but not nearly as bad as I hate sewing along and not knowing the bobbin has run out!
